Description
Mecha-claus, internally referred to as Santabot, was the final boss for Cold Ambush as part of the Violent Night Event. It had a very high amount of health and an average speed. Uniquely, it could not spawn until the last plot of land is cleared, which prevented it from spawning in perpetuity. Mecha-claus was unique in that, like the Ripped Elf and Gatekeeper, it did not directly try to reach the base. Instead, it would circle around the map, firing off its abilities, only directly attacking the base with its War on Christmas ability. Mecha-claus had four abilities: Its first ability, Snowball Bombardment, made Mecha-claus take out its snowball minigun and fire it at towers, making them rain down onto the map and stunned any tower hit and dealing damage to units. Its second ability, War on Christmas, had Mecha-claus take out its present missile launcher and fire it, making a present missile land on the Christmas tree, dealing 250 damage to your base health. Its third ability, Explosive Surprise made Mecha-claus take out a present bomb from its sack. It would then throw this present bomb into the air, which later lands on its head. This present bomb then turned into multiple other present bombs that fell down onto the map, stunning any tower hit. Its fourth and last ability, Well Fed, was a rage mode ability. It is activated at half health and made Mecha-claus eat a cookie, which caused it to regenerate around 20,000 health.
Appearance
Mecha-claus was a giant Christmas-themed robot built by the elves to beat the players, which resembled Santa Claus. It was mainly made out of grey metal, with its legs and hands being painted red. Its thighs and chest have embroidered golden markings on them. Its head was made of grey metal, and had a dark red visor in place of the face. On its head was a light grey metal beard with a green and red part at the bottom, as well as dark dray eyebrows. Mecha-claus also wore a red Santa hat with embroidered gold markings and a green button. Mecha-claus also wore a bandolier, with a golden bauble, a red embroidered bauble, and a blank green bauble, each with a fuse coming out of the cap. Its shoes were reddish-brown boots with two buckles around them. It had a red sack strapped to its back, filled with presents. It had abs and a brown belt on its lower torso. Mecha-claus wielded two weapons, one of which was a snowball minigun which it used to stun towers, and the other was a present missile launcher, which it used to deal damage to the base. It also had present bombs which it used to stun towers.
Strategy
High DPS towers like the Accelerator, Ranger and Engineer are recommended against this. These towers should have their firerate and range boosted by the Commander and DJ Booth respectively. The Ranger cannot be stunned by Mecha-claus, nor can the Engineer's sentries be destroyed by it, making them both very effective. The Ranger is even more effective as it has a high enough range to constantly damage the Mecha-claus as it is able to walk out of range for most ground towers. The Medic can be used to cleanse the stuns from towers stunned by Mecha-claus' abilities. You are able to stall Mecha-claus from spawning by not purchasing a single plot. This has several applications. You will have more time to place and upgrade your towers to prepare for Mecha-claus. This is generally not needed, as you will have no shortage of cash during the fight itself. You will have more time to let the passive base health regeneration fully regenerate your base health. This is useful to give yourself the highest chance of surviving Mecha-claus' War on Christmas ability. Do note that this means you will have less passive income and passive base health regeneration for the rest of the game. Try to have as much base health as possible so that you have a higher chance of surviving Mecha-claus' War on Christmas. It may be helpful to leave one plot not purchased, letting the passive base health regeneration heal the base health back during Wave???.
Update History

Trivia
Mecha-claus was built by the elves from the Violent Night Event after they have been turned against Santa by an unknown source. It would later be used against the players. Due to a bug, Cold Ambush matches sometimes had more than four players, making it a MEGA Server. This would cause Mecha-claus's health to increase by 15,000 for each player. Interestingly enough, if you zoom inside Mecha-Claus's head, you will able to see a green figure with an elf hat controlling it from inside. In the Violent Night Event trailer, elves can be seen building Mecha-Claus, likely intended to be controlled manually by an elf.
