Description

Rotfield was the event map for the first night of the Solar Eclipse Event. It can be played on again in Sandbox mode, though nothing from the Solar Eclipse Event is there. Like other event maps, it had a specialized wave structure with special enemies. Upon triumphing, you were awarded with 150 Coins, and. Losing on Wave 8 awarded instead. This map used the Jaxe as its narrator, instead of the Commander.

Design & Path

Rotfield is an abandoned and destroyed village, with destroyed houses and cars being seen across the map. It is located on a hill, with a train track on the side. Multiple bales of hay, wheat, pumpkins and scarecrows are scattered across the map. The sky is gloomy brown, with a giant, faded solar eclipse in the distance.

Story

The Dark Sun begins their conquest of the overworld. The T.D.S. Organization dispatches multiple of their agents to defeat this threat, which leads them to Jaxe. The T.D.S. Organization enters a battle with Jaxe and its army, defeating them.

Rewards

The game calculated how much Coins Coins and you received based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 50% more (08:00 UTC Friday – 08:00 UTC Sunday), any earned was multiplied by 1.5x. The VIP gamepass also multiplied any earned by 1.25x. Any rewards that ended in a decimal point was rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal. Between 8th of December 2021 and 13th of December 2021, and between 24th of December and 26th of January 2022 rewards are calculated as: Between 4th of December 2021 and 8th of December 2021, and between 13th of December and 24th of December 2021 rewards are calculated as: Currently in Sandbox mode, it gives no rewards.

Event Wave Structure

Formula for calculating wave bonus on each wave was: (220 + (75 × Waves Completed)) ÷ Players The waves in Rotfield could not be skipped. They followed these timings: Bolded names indicates an enemy type's debut. ---- Wave Structure

Strategy

The Ace Pilot can be quite useful here, as there are multiple spots where its circling range can cover most of the path. As the path on this map is quite close to each other, high range towers can easily cover most if not all of the path, even without the DJ Booth. Refers to the state of the game during the Solar Eclipse Event. Early on, the Ace Pilot or Military Base can be useful to clear out the enemies that spawn. You can use towers like the Toxic Gunner, Freezer, Sledger or Electroshocker to slow down enemies that spawn. However, do note that some towers cannot slow down the Jaxe, or their stuns are much weaker against it. Cheap high DPS towers, such as the Swarmer, Crook Boss and Minigunner are recommended against this. The Commander is also a great tower to use, as it boosts other towers' firerate for a cheap cost. Towers that deal splash damage like the Pursuit and Mortar can be used against hordes of enemies that spawn. The Scout does surprisingly well on Rotfield with its cheap cost during most waves. The Golden Scout is especially powerful. The Farm is generally not recommended as the few waves make investing in the Farm's upgrades not worth it. Expensive towers such as the Turret, Ranger and Accelerator are not recommended due to the lack of cash in this map.
