Firework Gun

WeaponsDead Rails

Overview[1]

Sheriff's Office; Outlaw Camps; Outlaw's Town; 3 Metal; 1 Component The Firework Gun is a ranged Weapon in Dead Rails.

The Firework Gun acts like a regular pistol. The shots cause explosions where they hit, making them a weapon for controlling hordes and useful for opening Banks. It can be found in structures such as Abandoned Gunsmiths or Abandoned Sheriff's Offices. Can hit enemies (NPCs) at close range, especially werewolves (will send them flying far away, making them possibly unable to return). In some cases, it can used to notify other players (i.e.: you fell off the train). Can repel a group of enemies (NPCs) at close range. Can deal damage to horseback Outlaws or zombies without damaging the Horse (Horses are immune to explosions). Can be sold for 15, though it is better to keep it as a weapon. Can be used to kill other players as firework explosions can damage players, similar to Dynamite and the Gunpowder Barrel. Somewhat rare to find in game. Deals damage to the player also, can result in accidental death or damage. The bullet has fall-off damage and travels slower than other guns. Only one round per clip. Bullets are affected by gravity, making it harder to aim at far distances.

Trivia

This is the first/only pistol so far that can directly damage other players. This is likely an oversight by developers. The Firework Gun can also damage the user and other players. It can trigger other explosive items such as Dynamite. The Firework Gun can fling Werewolves and other entities, such as Goliath. The reloading animation is similar to the Revolver's old reloading animation. This is mostly based off of the German M1899 Flare Gun. It is the only weapon in the game that was added twice Apparently due to weight of the fireworks, it has extremely high gravity just like the crossbow. It drops even faster then the crossbow, so only use it for medium to close range, using it from a far distance can be harder to use, as having to calculate the perfect height to shoot it would be needed. Apparently, the further it travels, the more damage it does. Category:Items Category:Weapons Category:Ranged Weapons Category:Pistols
