Patch history

This weapon doesn't seem to have its own properties section in the game files. It likely uses that of either the Pickaxe or the Sword. This is shared with the Tomahawk which has identical stats. The Cavalry Sword is held by Captain Prescott, as well as some Zombie Soldiers. A common Bug with the Cavalry Sword makes it spawn midair in buildings such as in the General Store and Abandoned Buildings. It cannot be picked up, dragged, or otherwise interacted with. Prior to the 5/16/25 Update, It used to be considered by few to be superior to the Vampire Knife due to it possessing more raw damage and being far more common. However, as it lacks the "lifesteal" effect, it is often ignored by those with the means to raid the Castle for the Vampire Knife. The Cavalry Sword in game is specifically a type of saber, and may be based on the Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber. A saber differs from a sword, as it is a type of backsword with a curved blade. Sabers were preferred by light cavalry as the curve makes slashing much more lethal. This is the opposite for heavy cavalry which prefers straighter swords as the straight blade makes thrusting/stabbing more lethal. Category:Items Category:Weapons Category:Melee Weapons
