The Vampire Knife is a unique melee Weapon found in the Castle, with only one spawning naturally per run. While it deals average damage per hit, it possesses a unique lifesteal effect that lets the user heal themselves by attacking Entities. This ability gives the user increased survivability compared to other melee Weapons, allowing them to take on stronger Enemies with less risk. The Vampire Knife is found in the Castle's right upstairs room, spawning in an open coffin. Additionally, the Vampire class spawns with a Vampire Knife that can't be sold.

Strategies

Unless the enemy is very low health, it is recommended to charge the Vampire Knife for the lifesteal and the increased DPS. The Ironclad class pairs well with the Vampire Knife due to the Ironclad's armor increasing the value of the Knife's lifesteal. The Vampire Class starts with a Vampire Knife that they can use to counteract the effects of the sun in the earlier stages of the game. They can also lend their Knife to trusted players early in the game to allow them to heal. The Vampire Knife can be used to get a quick health boost off of weaker enemies such as Zombies. As most enemies only attack once every 3 seconds, players can theoretically heal 37.5 hp per Enemy attack (although this number will likely be lower due to human error). Players will still need to watch out for special Zombies, as both the Dynamite Zombie and Sheriff Zombie can take out a particularly reckless player. Additionally, being swarmed by fast zombies can be very dangerous for even prepared players. Players can use several Snake Oils to rush in the Castle, grab the knife, and leave without killing any Enemies.

Patch history

The Vampire Knife was the first unique melee Weapon to be added to the game. The Vampire Knife is currently one of four melee Weapons in the game to have special abilities, with the others being the Jade Sword, Excalibur, and Spear of Longinus. The Vampire Knife used to heal 5 hit per health regardless of the charge level, allowing players to heal up to 25 health per second. This was halved due to being deemed too overpowered. The Vampire Knife is currently the only unique melee Weapons in the game that have more than 1 source, one being the Castle and the other being the Vampire class. Hence, there can be more than 1 Vampire Knife in 1 game. The Vampire Knife's model is a bloodied version of the official Roblox gear, Bombo's Survival Knife. Even though the model of the Vampire Knife is much smaller, the Weapon's range is unaffected. On the 5/16/25 update, the Vampire Knife's damage and swing rate stats match the Tomahawk instead of the Shovel, the reason is currently unknown but it is speculated that it could have been to make each weapon share the same stats as another Weapon but with or without special abilities. If a player with the Vampire class drops their Vampire Knife for another player who doesn't have the badge, that player will receive the badge once they pick it up. Due to the party system, a theoretically unlimited number of Vampire Knives can be obtained in 1 game. One from the Castle, and one for every player who joins the game with the Vampire class.
