It is highly recommended to be armed before getting any of the Golden Eggs, as every single one of them are guarded by hostile entities Tesla Lab is excluded, since it possesses no threats for you if you only want to collect Golden Eggs. Using a damage, defensive, or fast class like Survivalist, Ironclad, Werewolf Class, and Vampire Class can aid towards the obtainment of getting Golden eggs. Additionally, these eggs make a shimmering noise when you're near so they can be found easier.

Trivia

Getting the Golden Eggs is not required to get the Eggslinger Class; all you must do is survive the Easter Bunny. At these two places, Fort Constitution and Castle are the hardest to get the Easter eggs because of the Zombies and Wolves spawned directly in those places. Friendly Outlaws can be turned into bounty even when they are alive. You can hatch as many eggs as you want, but there is a limit of 20 friendly npcs allowed; make sure to kill any alive allies once they outlive their usefulness. Corpse of friendly NPCs hatched from the eggs can be sold if they have a sell value. This can be abused to make infinite money, the money can be made faster with several Eggslingers and a Cowboy (to don't spend the starting money on a Revolver and ammo to be able to kill friendly NPCs).
